i’ve referenced that collage before who hasn’t. why isn’t this just a meme. would this artist be pissed off if this exact trick turned into a laborious yet well loved meme. i use the word trick just to mean the mental trick in the use of the reference, i do really like this work. let’s have a look. they probably wouldn’t, you can get high res images of their work on their website. is a meme still a ‘meme’ if it’s laborious? yes. because it is still fun.
